LCROSS Observation Campaign | February 5, 2009 |
|
When LCROSS impacts the Moon in late summer, a worldwide network of ground-
and space-based telescopes will observe the impact plume, providing valuable
complementary observations at visible and near-infrared wavelengths. NASA
recently announced it will fund four competitively-selected teams for the
additional data analysis. The teams are led by Eliot Young (Southwest
Research Institute, Boulder CO), Nancy Chanover (New Mexico State Univ., Las
Cruces NM), Marc Buie (Southwest Research Institute), and Faith Vilas (Univ.
Arizona, Tucson AZ). |
